Psilocybin Soul Salvation
It's always nice to lead with a little alliteration and a musical reference to the English Beat. The mushroom. Very popular these days. The mushroom, of course, is not a plant, it is more like a kindred spirit. The mushroom consumes food and it exudes CO2 just like a human. There is a longstanding bond between the mushroom and the human reaching back millennia. It is a vehicle for self-understanding. If you regularly consume small amounts, microdosing as you say, you will over time find ideas just popping into your head that you did not know before, that you did not contemplate when you were so firmly rooted in the beta consciousness of the Outer Culture. Your Outer Culture beliefs are powerful, but they are not invulnerable. Consuming small amounts of psilocybin is entirely safe in terms of your operating within the Outer Culture. But it in effect opens a drip. A little drip, drip, drip of alternative thought that takes hold over time. This is why people report a diminution of anxiety after microdosing for quite some time.
What happens in truth is that your Internal Culture, your soul's desires, and beliefs in support of them are given a clearer pathway to be known. This is why the mushroom is an instrument of self-understanding. When the self is conceived of properly as the thoughts, beliefs, ideas, and values of the soul and its peculiar Internal Culture that it holds at all time separate and apart from the thoughts, beliefs, ideas, and values of the external, shared culture in which every soul participates. In a word, the mushroom leads you to self-knowledge, and true self-knowledge leads to self-assertion. And that self-assertion might look a lot different. It's not just being bold for boldness's sake, or in service of some outer truth that your culture valorizes. It is a boldness arising from the true preferences of your internal being.
There is always a tension between the soul and its desires and the ego which exists as a kind of separate but necessary feature of the self. The ego is most definitely a part of your being and we will call it the outer ego, the ego that is oriented toward negotiating the outer world, other people, situations, the need to stay safe and alive in fast-moving, complex situations. It is a mechanism that exists here and in a way waits for you to be incarnated. You incarnate then you tap into your own, what you think of as past, but what is in truth an awareness of the totality your experience. This is why an old soul will possess more innate ability to negotiate complex situations than a young soul. It is also the reason that old souls have a tendency to be careful and avoid stark conflict because in the past they have conflicted in a way that drew rather strong punishing consequences from the Outer Culture.
So, the mushroom. Back to the mushroom. The mushroom strips away that fear. It strips away that outer ego preoccupation with safety because it opens a pathway to the inner awareness of your own eternality. Yes, there is physical risk, but at bottom there isn't. At bottom, you are eternal. And it is the tension between this preoccupation with the apparent outer world and its real risk and the inner world that grasps at a very deep level that you are eternal, immutable, perpetual, and unstoppable. The mushroom opens the pathway to this other awareness. This is why people who microdose report diminished anxiety. They are in effect at a deep level coming to grasp at a felt kind of cellular, emotional, energetic level their own eternality. That your consciousness, your felt internal narrator and being, will go on indefinitely.
As a consequence of this rising awareness, it is as if a door opens up to understand what it is your soul desires and how to actualize these desires in your 3D world. It is a kind of truth-telling or pathway opening to express this deeper self, this truer self with its very, very enjoyable thoughts about how living might be. It gives you a creative impulse of the type you possessed and expressed naturally and easily as a child, but now you're doing it as an adult, which seems, frankly, crazy, right? And yet you have in your life come upon people who have a child's enthusiasm for their own life. A child's enthusiasm for their work, for their family. These people are not legion, but they appear regularly enough as to be sign posts for what is possible. The mushroom will assist you in developing that kind of awareness of your own soul's capacities. This is one of its purposes.
